We collaborated with JJ Abrams and Academy Award winning Director, Orlando Van Einsendel to produce Moon Shot, a documentay about the Google Lunar X Prize. Over the course of a decade, international teams competed for the Google Lunar XPRIZE team, and the criteria was strict: get a rover onto the moon and transmit back high definition images and video. Once the film was finished, we had less than a month to organize a screening and celebratory party for Moon Shot at South by Southwest

Grace Hopper Conference - Co-Creative Installation

2016, Houston Convention Center, Texas

This Co-Creative experience is a lively, interactive menagerie of portraits of women in computing, with the opportunity to easily create and add your own.  At Grace Hopper, diversity goes beyond just different ethnicities, sexual preferences, and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are diverse in our ideas, perspectives, experiences, creativity, and the ways we choose to represent ourselves. A single image can’t capture women in computing, rather it is a mosaic of different images coming together that can capture the power of our community.

As attendees approached the activation, they saw a wondrous wall of moving portraits. The portraits are individually framed screens with illustrated artful faces with gestures that are subtly animated, moving around, smiling, etc.  Women could then take their photo in one of our photo booths and opt in to share it on social or to our wall. There were different modes or “looks” that attendees toggled through, each one created by one of three celebrated female data artist like Lauren McCarthy, Addie Wagenknecht, and Rachel Binx to overlay their portrait creating a truly unique digital work of art.

Think Auto

Mountain View, CA Google Campus, 2012

Technology is at the epicenter of a major change in our industry. Digital channels and devices have upended traditional marketing models. The mechanics of vehicles themselves have become ever-more digital and interactive, impacting everything from product design to vehicle maintenance.  Keeping pace with the rapid change around us, Think Auto: Drive the Shift, brought attention to what to do about this transformation. Leaning on automotive visionaries, trend trackers and digital experts, the conversation centered on harnessing technology to reach emerging consumer segments, creating and capture demand, and leading companies through tomorrow’s marketing shifts. We produced the event with playful nods to the auto industry and plenty of interactive demos, a surprise self-driving car experience and “androidified” totes.
